Hey... slowing getting back into the poll game!

Disney is planning to make a live-action film about a young woman named Rose Red, who is Snow White's long lost sister. The film is said to depict her "untold" role in the story, in which she and the dwarfs rescue Snow after she eats the apple.

So, which of these actresses do you think would play Rose Red best?

Anne Hathaway

I would have made this an image poll.
This is going to be hard to find them all like this, but the image below is Anne in a mirror.
And at least find images where all the actresses have RED lipstick on. The Same Shade!

Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises 2012

Hmm. Rose Red. Where had I heard that name before? Something about or was it from Stephen King?

(Of course, I do know about the “Rose Red” fairy tale.)

Haha, yes - when you type the Disney movie in on the internet, often times the creepy one comes up.  And pretty cool house, if I may say so.

Ed: Sorry, but after further thought, I have decided to leave the poll as is.  People know what they can do with wigs and make-up; I don't need to spell it out for them.  :)  And besides, this isn't only about looks, it's talent, too.

Thanks.  I'd pick Ellie or Georgie... but just watch at Disney pick none of these, lol!

Agree. They are too old. According to the fairy tale, they are young, might be children, probably most likely teenagers. You need to look there.

Well, the way I understand it, the movie is going to be the Disney version, so they're over 13... the Disney Snow White is still very young (14) but they will probably change that to make it less weird when the Prince comes along.  Besides, who says Rose is the same age as her sister?  Could be older.  Also, older actresses play younger heroines all the time.

Why not Jessica Chastain? Maybe she's too old for this role?

Oh, I forgot to say - no suggs, please.  For some reason, I like to keep 16 options to these casting polls of mine.  But thank you!

Narnia,

"of" should be lower case in the title of your poll suggestion. Please change:

Narnia,

Thank you for updating the title of your list. I updated the title of this thread accordingly.

The Capitalize My Title website generally does a good job. It does have problems with initialisms or words that are all caps.

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we are having today in the St. Louis area.

I don't get it, is it supposed to be a revisionist take on the classic fairy tale?
So the Prince doesn't rescue Snow White, fair enough, and then...? She stays with the dwarfs?
She leaves with Rose Red?

I've got no idea; little is known about it thus far.  Here is the IMDb page and plot: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5601854/

I suspect it'll be kinda like Maleficent; the 'real' hero is someone other than the Prince. But I don't know.  All we can do is wait and see!

Or worse, ELMARUECAN. Just used the character’s name but not the story. Which, frankly, the fairy tale of “Snow White And The Seven Dwarves” is no way related to the Fairytale of “Snow White and Rose Red” other than both tales were written by the Brothers Grimm, both tales had a character named Snow White, both tales had an enchanted person (it is not Snow White or Rose Red in SW&RR), and both tales had a dwarf. That is where the similarities end. SW&RR are not princesses. They are peasants. Their mother is alive throughout the story; where as, in SW&7D, she is already dead at the beginning of the story. There is only one dwarf in SW&RR who happens to be ... EVIL.
Don’t believe me, read the story. https://www.bartleby.com/17/2/42.html

In fact there is an older version of the Snow White and Rose Red tale. “The Ungrateful Dwarf, was written by Caroline Stahl (1776–1837)“. (Wikipedia article https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow-...).

All right. I just thought it was Disney subverting again all the classic fairy tales tropes... inspiring a new trend of deconstructing remakes before we know it.
