Poll Suggestion: Modern Femme Fatales

According to wikipedia, a femme fatale is: a mysterious and seductive woman whose charms ensnare her lovers, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations. This archetype flourished during the film-noir era of 1940s and early 1950s.

Which of these 'modern' femme fatales do you think is the most dangerous?

(Please note: To qualify as modern, only female characters from movies that were made post-1980 will be considered.)

Thanks Jen, I had room for most but the list is full now. Maybe I'll make a Part 2 if this goes live.

Catherine Tramell should be on the top of the list, also Rosamund Pike's character from Gone Girl. Rachael from Blade Runner.

Not that Cotillard doesn't qualify, but I don't think she deserves to be that high on the list.

Alex Forrest was too psychopathic but why not.

I don't think Match Point qualifies, Johannsen is clearly the innocent victim and she was the one lured into that unhealthy relationship, she seduced the guy at first but for her, it was just one shot, he insisted and stalked her and talked into pursuing their liaison.

Blue Velvet is neo-noir but Rosselini wasn't exactly femme fatale in that one, was she? It's been a while, but it's not like she "exercised some femme-fatale power over guys".

Nikita doesn't qualify either. She has like five killings in the film and none of them depend on her charms or sex-appeal.

I'm not saying these options are all bad, but a female protagonist in a neo-noir movie or a female killer who happens to be attractive don't necessarily make a femme fatale by the book, that's all I'm saying. Actually, Nikita was a femme fatale in theory, that was the kind of "position" she was trained to adopt, but the film is more complex than that.

I making a list too. You might want to add Red Sparrow to that list because the movie is coming out soon and it might help to make your list go live instead of mine.

Jess,

This was one of my character lists (I think there were 3) that I didn't get a chance to remake prior to the mass deletion, unfortunately.

But grang has a similar list and he has my permission to use his for this suggestion.
