These are the characters who we remember from our childhood, or perhaps they are the characters who remind us of a simpler time - either way, we recognize most of them almost instantly, as they have been with us every step of the way. They are some of the most iconic characters of all-time.

Which of these cartoon characters do you consider to be the most iconic cartoon character of all time?

Winnie the Pooh and Snoopy are my favorites but I'd say Micky Mouse is the most iconic. 'Good poll! :)

Bugs Bunny, and all the Looney Tunes, have been around since the 1940s. I think they're a little more longevitied than Homer Simpson.

Mickey Mouse has been around since 1928, Goofy since 1932, Donald Duck since 1934, Porky Pig since 1935, Daffy Duck since 1937, Bugs Bunny since 1938 (although he would not reach his final form until 1940).

By the way, where is Felix the Cat? He has been around since 1919. He was the first animated character with status as a star.

"Looney Tunes" cartoons are my all-time favorite; I watch them every chance I get on the "Boomerang" Channel on Cable-TV.

Well, they offer a lot of choices for any animation fan. Between "Bosko, the Talk-Ink Kid" (1929) and "Injun Trouble" (1969), there were about 1,000 animated shorts released over a period of 40 years. This series had longevity.

They offer a large cast of memorable characters, who were placed in every kind of setting and situation. The series had a famous cast of directors, animators, storyboard writers, voice actors, and theme song composers, which kept it going no matter what happened with the real-life drama of the production team.
