On the suggestion of José I start this conversation. It should be the third part of a Poll-row.
I hope it's ok for pere. If not, let me know in the comments below.

(Quote of José:) There are some movie scenes that make you hold your breath because it's so intense... you feel like you're there... you feel like excited for that and when you get that feeling you already know you'll never forget that scene. These moments are kinda cinematographic pleasure.

Which one of these movie scenes left you more amazed? (End of Quote)

This is the third part of a intense-movies-poll-series.
I picked movies rated 7/10 and above.

Links from other parties don't work, Error 404.
Thanks for quote me, but if you want to change and define a new description you can do it at will.

Sdl El Maruecan gave me is opinion on my post:

"I personally think that the term "intense" is too broad for your poll's good, intensity can go in so many directions, it can be stressful, exhilarating, spellbinding, suspenseful, and even with one specific idea of intensity, I think I can come up with 100 classic scenes that could be described as intense... when you think about it, every climax in a film is intense in a way or another, or every good film has at least one intense scene.

I think the only solution would either to focus on a special genre, or a certain category of films (Top 250 for instance) or ask us which scene do we personally consider the most intense."

It's a nice point, what is your thoughts??

Thanks José, again, I simply meant that there's an interpretation of the word "intense" that will vary from one user to another and each one will come up with a scene on the basis of his or her interpretation.

Then it's fair to assume that for each personal definition of the word or each specific atmosphere or mood where the term "intense" will be applied, there will be dozens of other iconic scenes to match that, which really broaden the application of the word.

Now, simply adding "According to IMDb poll Board Users"  will solve the problem. Otherwise, there's a missing parameter in the question that should reduce the list to 35 options without anyone thinking of 10 or 20 other scenes that would work as well.

I think that is a nice point. I understand what you tried to said, I'm really open to really helpful thinks and i think that you had one, because everyone have is definition from what is intense for him, if you saw the scenes on the image you will different views of this definiton for each person. It's why i puted on the notes the person that gave the suggestion ;)
And yeah I think that put  "According to IMDb poll Board Users" it's really helpful to everyone knows what is the diferents standards for each one.

For example, on this poll i'm not particular included the tense scenes more from the emotional part, for that standard i made another list that you can check if you want.

There's link https://www.imdb.com/list/ls026979400/?ref_=otl_3

Thanks for the contribution and for the suggestion

Funny you would mention "tense", I have a shy personality that hates "tense" situations even in the movies, but while some scenes are so full of electricity you can cut through it, like Landa's scene with Lapadite or Gruber threatening Mr. Takagi, for me a tense scene can involve a woman who's embarrassing herself in front of people, psychological humiliation, or cringe-worthy moments, the anticipations of such moments can create more tension to me than anything involving guns or ticking bombs.

"According to IMDb poll Board Users and all our different standards this is what we considered intense."
I implemented this phrase on my list description. What you think?

For me intense, can be described like I write on the description

"There are some movie scenes that make you hold your breath because it's so intense... you feel like you're there... you feel like excited for that and when you get that feeling you already know you'll never forget that scene. These moments are kinda cinematographic pleasure."

That's my standard on my picks.

I see your point it's kind different of my but I understand that and i think that can be suggestions that you can gave that i can considered tense.

It's all about standards but in the same concept. More like this, more like that...
This is what I think. :)

Sorry for that error404, I can't fix that. It would be nice from you, Dan, to delete the wrong parts of that links.

Sdk ElMaruecan
Thank you for the suggestion. I changed the text. That's good advice! :)

José / pere
Thank you pere for giving ok to do the third part of this poll suggestion. Maybe another user would make the fourth part, so time by time everybody has a chance. :D I take suggestions. I got a wide and sometimes deep movie library in my head, but there are so many good movies - no one knows them all, except  150-year-olds. :D
Thank you for contributing and taking part. :)

So I deleted your intro and made one with my words. I just don't know about the copyrights about other peoples texts so I was sensitive not to break rules. In germany you can't take another ones text and claim it as yours. I didn't know, if these words you wrote should stay for the common sense of the poll. Some things in that poll-series should be the same to show up, this is a specific series.

So I changed the Title of the poll for showing up: This is the third part of a whole thing. Maybe when we find no more special intense scenes, we could make a poll about the most voted intense scene from our poll-row. ;) But i think that should at least be a row of 15 to twenty polls. That would be a colossal task.

To focus on a separate genre each following P.S. is ok, but the idea came too late after now actual three P.S.s If we want to do that, we should plan it before starting. That matter should be stated in the first poll-suggestion. Otherways it all gets mixed up sooner or later.

For me, it's fine if you want to make your introduction I think that's make more sense and it's great idea the poll about the most voted intense scene, when we the time comes we will do that.
I see your point.

I suggested you the interrogation scene in between juror 8 and juror 4 "12 Angry Men"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050083/mediaviewer/rm1762714624

I found it tense because of the circumstances of the situation and the point of view that the jury tried to show to the jury 4 and also because the jury 4 said he never sweated and then swallowing his words he realizes that maybe he is wrong in 2 points .

  1. Yes he sweats
  2. Yes a person under emotional stress can be not to be able to concentrate and to remember of certain things that to the little time did, that is what originates this "interrogation".

It's more of a tense moment for the character than for the scene itself.

You're welcome. ;)

This poll needs to go live, so it's vital to keep this running with suggestions.
I saw that you closed the poll, you choose a good number.

This is a community and I gave you options just like you did the same for me. "Quid pro quo".

I think this row is a great idea. If someone would take the Part IV-suggestion, I would try to give some ideas to it. Let's make a Laola-wave of intense movie scenes polls. :D

'Great poll, of course, and great intro! Your English is getting better so quickly, Breu. If only my Spanish would improve that quickly. :)

I noticed just two small typos, for which I have the corrections below in bold. (I capitalized the

Specific intense movies scenes. Who doesn't know one? According to IMDb Poll Board Users there are scenes in some movies that are so intense with emotion or situation or a special twist, that you will never forget it again. Which of the intense scenes below is your pick?

(Feel free to vote, even if you saw just a few of these movies.)

This is the third part of an intense-movies-scenes-poll-series. This time only movies rated at last 7/10 and above and with completely different subjects.

Thank you, rubyfruit76.

I try to understand how english 'works' and take advice for true. The conversations in here on getsatisfaction are like coming to another country. You have to write in the host's language. That's the way I try to see this. When I enter here, I'm in America on vacation and try to honor my host's language. Spanish is a passionate language. At my job we have a trainee who's mother-tongue is Spanish. I'm greedy about that, because it's a fine language I would like to talk, too. But while he has learned the German language in 2 years to be on a level, I thought he was born here, I just know some rudimentary spanish words. ;)
