Live Poll: Most Quotable 1994 Movie

My mama always said "1994 was a great year for movie quotes". Even the stupid ones (as stupid does), first you hate' em and then you get used to them, then they become part of cinematic memory and we all get connected to the great circle of life. By the way, you know how they call a "movie quote" in Paris? They call it "réplique de film"?

So which of these 1994 movies would you say is the most "répliquable"?

Quotability is usually a sign of cult status and 1994 was abundant in cult movies both on mainstream and not-so-mainstream sides. Nice suggestion!

Oh, and FYC:
The Crow (1994):
"Can't rain all the time..."
"Believe me, nothing is trivial"
"Victims; aren't we all?"

I suggest you use double line breaks after each quote so they are easier to read.

You really have a talent for this stuff, wow. I know I've told you that a hundred times and suggested you have a machine in your basement that makes great polls, lol, but, just in case you forgot, you rock, ElMo. : )

Out of many funny things, this might be the funniest: By the way, you know how they call a "movie quote"in Paris? They call it "réplique de film"? I love that. : )

For example, in french someone would say this: J'ai beaucoup aimé cette réplique dans ce film and not J'ai beaucoup aimé cette réplique de film dans ce film.

OK.

First, what you said about the context applies just the same for English, if you talk about quotes in the specific context of a movie-related magazine or article, there's no need to say "movie quote", all you have to say is "Top 100 Best Quotes" or "Best Arnie Quotes" etc.

In French, if you just use "réplique" then it means that your interlocutor knows you're not talking about quotes from magazines, books, celebrities or plays but the awareness of the context of your speaking has no bearing in the fact that the exact translation of "movie quote" is "réplique de film". It's not a golden rule but it makes sense that it would take a connection of two words to translate another connection of two words..

Now, excuse my French dear fellow board members but since there's no PM:
"en plus je parle Français couramment, je vis en France, je vois ce que vous voulez dire mais bon techniquement, si on parle de réplique tout court, on peut deviner qu'on parle de films mais enfin ce n'est jamais sur à 100% et qui plus est, ce n'est pas la traduction littérale de "movie quote""

It might be it is, because I'm not living on the american continent, but ...
at least 4/5 of all those quotes are not quotable enough for me to remember.
So I voted for "This is from ... Mathilda.".

Well, "Run, Forrest. Run!" is more popular, so it's more quoteable. And it is a very fitting quote for the situation of the main character. So everybody remembers the quote.
But the more thrilling scene was that with "This is from ... Mathilda."
That's when I'm watching the movie - watching the villain's face shortly after he noticed what will happen immediately after the words and then I think: "Yesss! Ringtrick, B*st*rd!"
