As Covid-19 death toll rises, confinement measures have been reinforced in many countries in the world, which means that many of us are likely to remain in confinement for the weeks to come.

Taking all these troubles patiently, here's a little poll to cheer up the atmosphere a little (so to speak): a sample of different movie pictures defining various aspects of solitary (or collective) confinement.

Which of these movie images comes the closest to your current life?

One of our critics published a list of "7 Movies to see for the Withdrawal". I'll try to find pictures for some.

1) The Dreamers (2003) - picture or picture
2) Into Great Silence (2005) - picture
3) La Grande Bouffe (1973)
4) Last Days (2005) - picture or picture
5) Passengers (2016) - picture
6) Conversation Piece (1974) - picture or picture
7) Rear Window (1954) - picture

One of Taxi Driver's inspirations, A Man Escaped, also comes to mind.

Oh, the Rear Window image is a great idea! I also like the ones from Last Days and the first one for The Dreamers.

Honestly, when you go outside, you are like Vincent Price in The Last Man on Earth, there is literally not a single soul.

In my case, I fear more for my life in my house, but that depends on where you live. In some placed, you can't even go outside, but for now,  where I live the only restriction concerning going outside is that groupings (unspecified number)  are prohibited.

In any case, the most important is to maintain social distancing and to wash your hands as often as possible.

cinephile , not exactly Last Man on Earth (1964) in Ukraine, but I'm often having flashbacks to war conflict slowly erupting in Donetsk in 2014 and city going downhill. I'm not the only one in that regard, other people with similar experience also have their PTSD modes activated. I totally understand logically that it's more of a false flag and false association, but I can't help but having a deja vu. The greatest problem of social distancing is trying to distance oneself from the grim thoughts while still staying in the loop.

I tried meditating while listening to the radio, but half the stations are getting jammed with quarantine mementos which can't sound more like emergency broadcast if they tried intentionally. I get why they do that, but it's hard for me to stay calm in such situations...

'Good idea, ElMo! And a good list, so far.

There's the scene in 'Color Purple' in which Celie cleans everything until the home looks really nice.
