Hi Abdullah,

This has been done before for movies - http://www.imdb.com/poll/VOHIc-32iAc/ - therefore I suggest you make yours just for TV instead. There are more than enough options. Though I would suggest a disclaimer that daytime soap operas do not apply, as just one of those shows would probably have enough options to take up an entire poll by themselves.

Make sure that you put your link-back in the standard format, not just a url. And when listing the various roles you should ever have a space on each side of the / or none - not one space on one side and not on the other. Consistency is your friend. But perhaps commas would be the best way to go.

For the Outlander option, Toby Menzies only plays two characters - Black Jack Randall and Frank Randall. Jonathan and Jack are the same person - Jack is a nickname.

Nina Dobrev also played Amara on The Vampire Diaries.

FYC:
Patty Duke - Patty and Cathy - The Patty Duke Show
Ali Larter - Niki, Jessica and Tracy - Heroes
Patton Oswalt - Eric, Billy and Sam - Agents of Shield
Sheryl Lee - Laura and Maddy - Twin Peaks
Everybody - American Horror Story
Summer Glau - Cameron and Allison - Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles
Peter Capaldi - Caesilius, John and The Doctor - Doctor Who
Garrett Dellahunt - Francis and Jack - Deadwood
Karl Urban - Julius Caesar and Cupid - Xena
Lisa Kudrow - Phoebe and Ursula - Friends
Aloma Wright - Laverne and Shirley - Scrubs
Kristin Kreuk - Lana and Margaret - Smallville
Jeffrey Tambor - George and Oscar - Arrested Development
Dennis Franz - Norman and Sal - Hill Street Blues
Tom Cavanagh - three different timeline versions of Harrison Wells
Yael Groblas - Petra and Anezka - Jane the Virgin
Misha Collins - Castiel, Lucifer, Leviathan and Jimmy - Supernatural
Jared Padalecki - Sam, Lucifer, Gadreel, Ezekiel and himself - Supernatural
Elizabeth Montgomery - Samantha and Serena - Bewitched
Barbara Eden - Jeannie, Jeannie II and Jeannie's mother - I Dream of Jeannie

I have only included instances where it occurred at least three times during the show's run.

This needs strict parameters. You can list all six of the Monty Python members for their three non-episodic movies (Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life), because they each played at least three in each movie.

I suggest excluding sketch shows.
