My favorite nationwide show that featured puppets is Captain Kangaroo (1955 TV Series).

My favorite local show that features puppets is The Shrimpenstein Show (1967)
A hosted horror kids show from KHJ Channel 9, Los Angeles, California, USA screened from 1966-1967; with Gene Moss as Dr. Rudolph Von Schtick and Shrimpenstein voiced by Jim Thurman.

Admittedly, this show is an acquired taste.

Holy Fozzie! Well, I guess I'll work on the ratings.

I had the late shows initially included, even the Ed Sullivan show featured puppetry, but would that be relevant to add them?

great poll el...very unique idea...

and wow jen...Kukla, Fran and Ollie...hadn't thought about that show in ages...actually, many of these shows that i loved had 'slipped' my mind, like shari lewis and thunderbirds...

but, as for the poll, i couldn't pass up captain kangaroo...watched that everyday growing up...truly fond memories...
