Movies' final lines can be some of the greatest of film history and in the case of Science-fiction, some of the most iconic lines are the last to be heard before the fade-out.

Which of these closing lines from sci-fi movies is the most iconic?

ElM,

Another great poll suggestion!

My vote: The War of the Worlds (1953)
"After all that men could do had failed, the Martians were destroyed and humanity was saved by the littlest things which God in his wisdom had put upon this Earth."

For your consideration:
Forbidden Planet (1956)
"Alta, about a million years from now the human race will have crawled up to where the Krell stood in their great moment of triumph and tragedy. And your father's name will shine again like a beacon in the galaxy. It's true, it will remind us that we are, after all, not God."

Of course added, I like this trend of sci-fi movies ending with a 'morale' speech

ElM,

One minor nitpick. The double double quotes should be a single double quote.
Please change:
""Alta, about ...

To:
"Alta, about ...

For now, unless more options to come..., "This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off... Come on, cat."

The Blob (1958) - this last line isn’t spoken but appears on screen as a credit. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051418/...
The spoken last lines are:
Lieutenant Dave: At least we've got it stopped.
Steve Andrews: Yeah, as long as the Arctic stays cold.
Then this appears on screen, “The End?”

I just added "The Blob", thanks for the suggestion of "Arrival" but I think the film is too recent to even qualify as 'iconic'.

Also, the last line in Arrival is:
- You want to make a baby?
- Yes.

Perhaps not very iconic. :)
