The Hawkeye State is the official nickname of Iowa. Adopted early in the state's history, Iowa's nickname is "The Hawkeye State" as a tribute to chief Black Hawk, leader of the native American Sauk tribe. Relocated to Iowa after unsuccessful fighting of settlers (source: statesymbolsusa.org). Iowa became the 29th state of the United States of America in 1846.

These movies have a connection with Iowa. They are (partially) filmed there or it's a topic in the story. Which movie (or movie poster) do you associate the most with Iowa?

My list: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls090618688/

My vote for the one I associate most with Iowa is 'Field of Dreams.' When I think of Iowa, I think the most prestigious graduate writing program, corn fields, election caucuses, and 'Field of Dreams.' I wasn't crazy about that movie but I automatically associate it with Iowa.

Oh, one part of the intro is a little confusing but I think it's just because of an incomplete sentence that seems like it was supposed to be part of the former sentence? Following is what I think you meant? (If so, I'd suggest editing it.)

Iowa. The state of St. Olaf’s University, videnfrøgen, and the annual herring festival. The state that made Betty White famous. And even funny.

If you're not based in America who cares what state films are based in?

Rob Webster, it's just an interesting novelty concept for a poll, considering many states in the USA contain unique scenery.
