These 15 actors and actresses were nominated for Oscars on their very
first try at acting. Yes, they had absolutely no experience and took no acting classes. Some won. Most lost out. They are however memorable.

When you base a list on an article, it is good form to cite the source.

As you mention in the text, Catalina Moreno was said to be taking acting lessons when she won her role, so it seems wrong to claim in the introduction that none of them took any acting classes.

The list in that article doesn't match your list. This one does:

My vote:
Homer Parrish. Russell is the only actor to win 2 Oscars for the same performance. He was wounded from his participation on D-Day in June 44' and was cast after being noticed by William Wyler. Now the Academy wanted to be sure of an Oscar for him as they figured he had no chance of winning for his nomination, so it created an honorary Oscar for presentation.

I like him too. But will people actually take the time to read the little stories?
He deserves to win the poll on that alone. Sadly, someone much more familiar will likely win!!!

That's because of BONAFIDE BOSS.
He has done this twice now.
I have replaced it.

Good one! Tough choice, though, which actually makes it an even better poll, I think.

Two suggested edit: (small ones)

In options #1 and #2: Paquin's and Mikhail's (added apostrophe before "s")

Btw, I have adored Baryshnikov since I was nine years old; he's one of the reason I started to dance and I saw him perform solo for his 50th birthday. He's amazing.

He makes it look like there is no effort at all. He is soooo fluid.
Fixed #1 and 2.
Also found a missing "period" in Oprah's.
Fixed that also.
Thanks
