The Alcoa Theatre (1957) was one of the first to try and bring short, high production value, movie type stories to the small screen. Many big named Movies stars would be on this short lived series, as well as future TV Stars. Who is your favorite star?

again cliff...you've done it again...

what an amazing list...this is when actors could actually act...not like the recent set of untalented faces...

and to choose from this lot is really insane, but...

though so many stand out, two that certainly made a difference in my cinematic experiences were john cassavetes and barbara stanwyck...and my final vote would only go to ms. stanwyck because of her on-camera presence as opposed to mr. cassavetes' more 'behind the scene' prowess as director (although he was wondeful in many roles, including his brilliant performance in 'the tempest'...)

like i said...truly a close call...

CliffJ,

I vaguely remember seeing the Alcoa Theatre (1957) when it ran.

I have many favorite actors on the list. Since I have to choose, my vote:
David Niven

'Tough choice. John Cassevetes, Barbra Stanwyck or Jack Lemmon. What a great poll with a title to match.

Many of these actors/actresses were stars BEFORE they ever appeared in this TV series.
