Live Poll: Veiled (But Not Unvalued) Beauties

In a time where beauty relies on the "shown" and the sexy, whether for men or women, we tend to forget that many civilizations in the world had set modesty as a standard of 'beauty'.

This poll doesn't intend to elevate one style or fashion above another but only tries to show that even a veil or a headscarf shouldn't necessarily be considered as the antithesis of freedom, and certainly not of a certain vision of physical attraction.

Many actresses have worn a modest clothing for a specific role, one of them was "drawn" that way, and it would be a lie to say that they weren't feminine or attractive, regardless of any religious consideration.

In that regard, what is your favorite picture of a TV/movie veiled woman?

Hi, ElM.

I do like the idea of this poll as it sounds literary. I do love the initial set of images. But they do not correspond to each other, or should I read between strings?

There is an example of a veiled woman:

There is one more example (btw, the most impressive in all meanings, including the symbolic ones):

The above are veiled women. I see none in your list based on images.

I used "veiled" for the "veiled but not unvalued" title effect... I (probably wrongfully) thought 'veil' became a sort of generic term of reference to define any item of clothing hiding hair totally or partially, not veil like the "bridal veil", it doesn't work if you can see all the hair. Maybe "Scarf-Face" could have worked as a title but it didn't sound as poetic... any suggestions?

Since the main decision for your poll is upon you, I have no suggestions until you make the main idea framed and clear.
You've produced a very interesting idea that is provided by a poetic title, but not supplied with correspondent images...
What can I suggest further? In which direction?
  1. If you prefer the main concept to be perfect, you have none images for this included.
  2. If you prefer the produced set of images, you need a correspondent title and question. And then additional work for the initial title to be another poll of yours.
  3. If nobody really cares how the beauties on the photos match the main idea of this poll, what can we do or suggest?
Which of the above is your choice? :)))

The images inspired the poll... not the title. So naturally I want THAT set of images... the title is secondary. I just thought the word "veiled" could be taken as the opposite of "unveiled" (meaning 'hidden') for thz sake of the title but this is no big deal. It just needs a little rewording that's all.

Well, it's not what's invited me participating, but I see now.
At first look, may be such title is closer to the images:

"I just thought the word "veiled" could be taken as the opposite of "unveiled" (meaning 'hidden')"

It can, yes. So perhaps you can just use "veil or scarf" in the question and still use "veiled beauty".
