Poll Suggestion: What's your take on 'Black Mirror: Bandersnatch'?

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018) is a science fiction movie with a very prototype idea. If you watch this movie on Netflix you can select the actions of the main character. Each decision you make change the flow of the plot and therefore you are responsible for the ending of the movie.

What's your opinion about this idea?

4. I've read an interesting review which says that the whole movie is a criticism of (pseudo-)interactivity. Hence the similar endings and realizations that you don't actually have much of a choice.

What on earth???  I've heard of this movie, but not this idea!  Whoa!  I suppose my answer should be #6, but I think it's really cool!  Just don't get crazy and make every movie/show like that.  :)

NIA,
I know you are very young and have not seen r-rated movies. You know you told us? Your limitations are pg-13, right? Ok, let me tell you. I'm an adult and have seen many horror-movies. Some are real nasty and you shouldn't see them. But it's a step further to feel being responsible for what happens to the main character. That's really strange and I really would only advise people to try this, if they have seen so much other horror-movies, that they are bored from "normal" horror-stuff. I don't want to give the upper pedantic, but I would advise against in your case. It could cause bad dreams or even psychological irritations. (that's my opinion as a layman)

Yes, I would not watch this if it was rated TV-MA, as, sadly, many Netflix shows are.  Why can't they make a 'scary' movie without trauma?  And thank you for being concerned about me; that's very kind.  :)

I have three kids. They're all beyond legal age. I guess your parents are naturally  more concerned about your health, than me. ;) I understand that and don't want to be aim of their anger. As intelligent as you are, you sure understand that. There are real bad people on the internet - so always be careful. ;) Just my advice.

Cyber-bullies can also be cruel. If a bad person stalks you on the net, search for help. Your parents will understand it, I guess they will help you - and even if not, then the teachers are an option. And next step - the police is an option, too. Try to not get in trouble, but when you're stuck in trouble, let them help. Always remember: They won't  leave you alone, when there is serious trouble. Sorry for nagging, it was important for me to tell you. I hope I bored you because of you heared that many times before. ;)

albstein:
:( Naja!

NIA: I don't know if it offends or compliments you, but the picture I had in mind of you was that of a friendly family father whose children just left home or so, lol! That reminds me of the time a poll board regular was shattered when she discovered that I was not an old American professor.

So: Well done, NIA. :D

albstein:

Although unsure, I had the feeling that he was born within the last twenty years, just based upon his tastes or opinions about certain things, which I declined to comment on individually.

Jeorj, I can see what you mean in hindsight. One's profile picture adds to the impression, too. Aslan is a fatherly figure, there you have it.

Hi @Jeorj. Do you think you can guess my age?

I get mistaken for being older than I am. (Often, in social media) :/

My vote should be No.6
I actually like the idea but don't want to see movies like this everyday. :/
