Yes, it even happens in Hollywood. Actors get let go for a multitude of
reasons. Sometimes before shooting begins. Disagreements run the gamut.
Sometimes it's for the best. Sometimes not.
So we ask you, what one Movie or TV Show do you think would have benefited the most if the listed actor was not fired from the production?

Artistically, It was pretty stupid to fire Kevin Spacy.
In terms of appearance/Business, it was the only decision that they could have made.
Maybe my sources aren't up to date, but as far as I know, the charges were dropped against him because the alleged victim died.
I feel bad that his career ended like that, it seems pretty unfair.

I only watched Transformers to ogle Megan Fox.
The 3rd installment sucked without her.
I did not even watch the subsequent films because Shia LaBeouf was not there either.
Regarding the MCU movies, I think Ruffalo is a better Bruce Banner, and Cheadle a better Rhodey, so all's well that ends well there.
Two and a Half Men sucked after Sheen's exit, but there was really nothing that could be done, he was seriously effed up.
Taylor Momsen's character in Gossip Girl was annoying and not really germane to the broader story; didn't care when she left.

Back to the Future (1985) fact is overblown and, essentially, incorrect. Firing Eric Stoltz was in mutual agreement and he never once stated otherwise, remaining overall supportive of production. Main reason was essentially because he was not clicking with overall tone of production. There was no "insult to injury" since it was a difficult decision for everyone involved, but everyone involved also agreed to it.
It caused several additional levels of derailment when Michael J. Fox was cast, because he was still so busy he barely had any time in schedule, so he essentially overworked himself by working on both productions. Eric Stoltz footage was mainly left in in order not to reshoot everything, which would've put additional toll on production. You can see him in the movie, in at least two shots.

Nice idea.
If you are considering Game-shows then
FYC: Hal Block who was fired from What's My Line?, now that I'm watching the complete series, I just saw his last show and I miss him His risque humor sense wasn't of the liking of part of the audience as it explains here, Louis Untemeyer was also fired under suspicion that he was a communist (which he wasn't).
Kevin Spacey finished his work in All the Money in the World, but after his scandal, all his scenes were shoot again with Christopher Plummer, does that count as firing?
There's also more interesting options here

My #2 already has Kevin Spacey. The Hal Block is likely to got no votes as people will go Hal Who? And the poll is based off of the article listed. Do not want to deviate from the concept.
But thanks for the thought!!

Last time I heard it's not just that case was dropped thanks to witness dying. He keeps releasing odd and cryptic video messages which are seemingly in-character, but are somewhat pointing at the fact that witness got killed as if they're addressed, first and foremost, to someone who's compromised by his situation.

It's hard to think of anyone else other than Michael J. Fox playing the beloved role of Marty McFly—but Stoltz was the actor originally cast to play the part. A few weeks into filming, the directors realized Stoltz wasn't giving them the energy they wanted to bring to the character. They planned to fire him and replace him with Fox, but it couldn't happen right away. Poor Stoltz continued working for four weeks without knowing his days as Marty McFly were numbered.
