Help! I've recently merged all pages of David Cook (there were some pages of David Cook without any credits) to the David Cook from American Idol.
Yesterday, I've noticed that a new credit was added on his page. It was something to do with Camera Department and he was credited (uncredited) as a still photographer. I have never seen any David Cook page with this credit before. If I had seen this, I wouldn't have merged that page to the David Cook from American Idol.
This morning, I was in shock to find that his Soundtrack credits have been removed! Not only that, but the photo of him has disappeared and the romam number has changed (before his roman number was XXII [22], now it's XVI [16]).
This messed up pretty badly. What I was trying to do in the first place is remove all the David Cooks that don't have credits by merging them all into the David Cook from American Idol. Also I was trying to change the American Idol David Cook's roman number to one, as I believe that the roman numbers should be organised by who is the most popular David Cook.
Is there anyway you can revert the Soundtrack credits back to where it was before? His Soundtrack credits include the short film Bullied (III) in 2011 where he performed his song Permanent and an episode (Kathleen) from a show called Intervention in 2016, where he wrote and performed a song called Carry You.

Xstreme: I would advise you to take no further action on this and wait for an IMDb staffer to respond. Hopefully they can fix the problems.
I am not 100% sure as to the situation. My guess as to what happened is that some of the "David Cook"s without any credits listed on IMDb were reserved for people who had uncredited work listed in IMDb's records. Since they only had uncredited work, their work was not displayed on IMDb, and would not be eligible to be displayed until they got at least one credited work. (See http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=uncreditedcredits, paragraph 2.)
Merging such a person's name with David Cook from "American Idol", who does have credited work, could cause IMDb to think that the uncredited still photographer David Cook was the same person as David Cook from "American Idol", and thus the still photographer's work is now getting listed on the same page as the person from "American Idol".

Ever since IMDb settled on an assignment of roman numerals years ago, all later roman numerals are supposed to have been assigned chronologically by when people have been added to the database. Just ask Emma Watson (II) or Emma Stone (III) or Jennifer Lawrence (III); those actresses are the famous people by those names, but IMDb is not going to change their roman numerals to make them (I) instead. The roman numerals don't get changed on IMDb except for internal technical reasons.
Alright. I'm going to give this page some time to sort things out, since I have merged many of the David Cooks to the AI David Cook and it has changed a couple of times, and I don't know if there are going to be any more changes. I'll give a few weeks to a month, and if I still find that the page is the same, or different but not where it's supposed to be, then I'll have to manually fix it myself and add the credits.
