Two years ago I discovered and brought up to your attention a serious issue with the section "people who liked this also liked" on all movies, which doesn't update when IMDb users change their ratings, delete their ratings, or delete their accounts. Here's the post: https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/-people-who-liked-this-also-liked-section-doesnt-update-when...

Mr. Col Needham replied there and said that he opened a ticked with the appropriate team. Two years have passed since then and the problem still hasn't been solved, it is still marked as "in progress". What's happening, why aren't you fixing it?

Me and millions of other IMDb users are being deceived by the recommendations in the section "people who liked this also liked", since they are based on ratings changed or deleted years ago, or based on accounts deleted years ago. For details, please read my research in the initial post. I can confirm that the situation is still the same with the movies in my research - they still have the same recommendations, although I deleted those accounts two years ago.

This means that it has not been solved yet. There could be two reasons:

1) not possible to solve it from a technial perspective at this point

2) higher priority problems taking all the staff's attention

I'm afraid you need to be patient.

What you say would probably be understandable in case of two months delay, if the issue requires so much work. Two years is totally unacceptable.
