Does anyone actually investigate submissions for changes in data? I submitted a change to the release date of two films: Treasure Island listed as released on 27 January 1918 but was released in Los Angeles on 23 December 1917; and A Man's Man listed as released in January 1918 but was released in Los Angeles on 1 October 1917. This would also effectively change the release year from 1918 to 1917. Which is accurate and historical. It was rejected. I submitted again giving them the Los Angeles Times pages that they could reference as well as the theater that it was playing at. Again, rejected. What is wrong with this system? Do you NOT want to accurate?

Could you copy the submission reference numbers for staff to look up?

I wonder if you corrected the existing dates or added new ones. Is it possible that the listed dates are correct for some locations?

And if you add new dates, that does not automatically change the year of the title.
Once the earlier date has been accepted, you need to request the year be changed either through the IMDb Contact Us form, or here on GetSatisfaction.

I don't believe they care at all, I've submitted, and re-submitted about Kaitlyn Ashley being born Kelly Hoffman, not Kelly Grace Thompson (Wiley) who died. I provided Url's as directed by the submission requirements, and also provided links that could easily be verified that Kelly Hoffman is indeed the former Porn Star Kaitlyn Ashley born on June 29th, 1971. The woman who passed on, Kelly Grace Wiley was born on the same date and died June 17th 2019 is not the former Porn Star. Etc.! They keep sending my submission back with Denied, unable to verify. This site seems to be unreliable. Kaitlyn Ashley is alive, and that Richard T. Pipe is a moron who submitted the misleading info.!

Rick.......... your last post was closed.
Please DO NOT post unrelated pre-discussed topics to someone else's issue.
IMDb does care.
But your way of going about it in your first post caused it to be closed.
Please post no more about Kaitlyn.
Please post helpful comments or don't post at all.
Thanks

Treasure Island (1918) - Ref #190922-062107-459000

A Man's Man (1918) - Ref #190922-061603-687000

There are two reasons why I think that they are corrections more than additions. One, currently, they have dates for the USA release that are after the Los Angeles releases (which are also USA releases). Which means that the USA release date is before what they have. Two, in both cases, these films were 1917 releases not 1918 releases.
