problems with IMDb site

Whoever programmed this site (the edit page)
made it impossible to uncheck the selection of actor/actress when it is
neither. Also, when typing in name when going down the list provided to no results, when it comes to the next page (after  one gets this list like the other a repeat. Why? After typing in name one checks (after the check and before submitting) the person in list only to have recheck on the next page making it so the contributor has to do double the work due to the fact  that IMDb computer staff workers are unable to do their job right and, as such, do not deserve their job. Hire better workers and do a better programming of the website.

Hi, Nick Riganas. I'm thoroughly familiar with the submission interface yet I still don't understand to what perceived problem the topic creator is referring.

He's complaining about the radio selection button for Actor/Actress. IMDb has made it a binary choice (which most people would have agreed with when this interface was coded) but doesn't reflect a 2019 reality.

Paul, you probably need to be more specific. ”Himself/Herself” appearances (also) go to ”Acting” when people submit such credits. They’ll be added to different departments, though.

Scroll down to ”Self Appearances” section:

Could someone please re-word the problems under discussion, because I'm going to be confused which title should include the ”Himself/Herself” appearances of the IMDb programmers / code-writers

What? Anybody not notice that he is referring to gender neutral! You have to check actor or actress!

Whoever programmed this site (the edit page) made it impossible to uncheck the selection of actor/actress when it is neither.

Also, when typing in name when going down the list provided to no results, when it comes to the next page (after  one gets this list like the other a repeat. Why?

Reference to the selections available already in the database, and the last selection that says "none of the above, create a new name for XXXXXX XXXXXXX"

And after selecting that choice that it re-asks after going to the next page by having to check mark another warning box, you are about to create a new name page for XXXXXX XXXXXXX.

I will agree that the original poster made it hard to understand, but not impossible to comprehend.

Cheers all.
