I have no idea why, but this change doesn't make sense.

Hello, Karakter Akter.

From what I can tell the reason might be an attribute-related glitch as usual form would by typing the company in the occupation field akin to "executive producer: Australian Broadcasting Corporation".

Then again, might be unrelated so better wait for what IMDb staff will say on the issue.

As you can see above, the company name was entered as an attribute, and "executive producer" was selected from the drop-down list.

The on-screen credits listed the other EPs (from the production company) without any qualification, and the EP from the broadcaster was qualified with the broadcaster's name. Seemed relevant to include that.

The point was that the occupation for ”Hayden, Nick (I)” should be added as (to the occupation field):

”executive producer: Australian Broadcasting Corporation”

(first the occupation as it’s listed in the credits, and then the company after the colon)

Companies are not added the attribute field, which should left blank.

(Note: You don’t have to choose any occupations from the drop-down list. You can just write the occuption, in this case with the company after the colon.)

Hayden, Nick (I) actually has many credits as EP qualified to the network. Just that his previous credits have been submitted as simply EP, hiding his true relationship to the production -- as a network exec.

So, EP can mean at least two things: exec at the production company, and exec at the broadcaster.

I'm afraid I don't fully follow, to be honest (could be just me). I mean IMDb mainly records film credits. So if a person is credited as "executive producer", that's how he's listed also on IMDb. If he's listed with the company (sometimes this is the case - especially if there are other producers from different companies, but many times no), it should be listed as "executive producer: company". Quite often the title is simply "producer", "executive producer", "associate producer" etc.

I'm agreeing with you! His previous credits for the ABC should have been submitted as you say, but they have been submitted as simply EP.

This is still incorrect, with nm3237117 with a Casting Department credit. Unsurprisingly, it's now his sole credit in this!
