I know the IMDb producers credits can not be in order by ourselves, but I found that the it was even not in alphabetical order when I had registered my new work. There are three people in the producers section, one's name starts from D (assistant producer), H (producer), and M (executive producer).
Then, they show up like...

1. D (assistant producer)
2. M (executive producer)
3. H (producer)

How come?

They are alphabetized by what IMDb interprets as their surname:

Chinese and some other Asian nations put the family name first.

  • Example: Chow Yun-Fat. Chow is the family name (like "Smith") and Yun-Fat is the given name (like "John"). Therefore, according to the rules above, the name is stored in IMDb as Chow, Yun-Fat and displayed in film credits as Yun-Fat Chow..
  • NOTE: A case like the above is easy to determine because there's a dash in the name, which typically identifies the first name.
