Propaganda Trolls also on IMDB

First Twitter, now IMDB, I just discovered this propaganda message, badly spelled with use of many capitals, trolling the Trivia section of Disney's Mulan, and safely liked by 5 accounts:

"There is a movement to boycott the movie over Yifei Liu's support of the Hong Kong police force in 2019. (The Protestors Who Wants "Democracy & So Called Freedom." Are Accuraly Fascist hooligans Beating People Who are Innocent Civilians & People Who are From The Mainland (PRC)"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4566758/trivia?item=tr4691150

My questions

1) how is it possible that such texts succeed to get published although IMDB has a checking policy process

2) how to report & remove this kind of glitch material

Thank you, keep up the good work

Report items like this by using the edit function and request a delete if you feel it is not a trivia item.
See the little edit in the upper right of this photo. Start there.

Thanks for your help, but guess what, when I checked it out I couldn't find the mentioned troll comment anymore. Is Big Brother watching us or what?

Read below. I submitted the request. Your trivia was gone, but someone put the one below in it's place. This may be an ongoing issue, and may need to be kept an eye on.

...Or could it be IMDB self-censure? There was also a neutral comment about the boycott action, I think that's why the troll reacted, but that comment has been removed as well *shrug*

Evah: I don't know if this is the cause, but when I saw this thread, I submitted a request to delete the entire trivia item, citing as my explanation that the item was "inappropriate political commentary". If the proposed boycott is appropriate as a trivia item, that information can be re-submitted by someone else.

Well thank you Gromit! For taking action, for letting me know, also preventing me to become too paranoid.

Now that you mention it...I don't think the whole #MulanBoycott Controversy lends itself for a trivia item. This event deserves an editorial imo.

We're living in interesting times, who would have thought a Disney movie franchise could have such an impact on world affairs & economics.

The controversial Weibo quotes from that Mulan actress will be hands down the most successful, cheapest Disney marketing campaign ever, with perhaps the biggest box office success as well. Now the people of China will be flogged into the theaters since the actress has been made the national mascot, we are talking about a populace that tops 1.3 billion.

Mark my words, in the near future movie fans will say "That's How the East Was Won"
