Al Pacino all day, a hall of famer of the world cinematic. I think we may agree that Al Pacino is one of the best actors of all time and probably he didn't win an Oscar for his best role but certainly the role that gave him this award was well deserved. His role as Frank Slade in Scent of Woman was powerful, everytime I see the movie I feel absolutely moved by his performance. His role in Jack and Jill?? Hey, sometimes there are certain things that is hard to find an explanation..

He's my favorite actor as well, if cinematic Gods do their job, well I sincerely hope The Irishman revives his career à la Christopher Plummer and he could get 1 or 2 Oscar noms before leaving this world.

As time goes by I am more afraid of the last goodbye... I admire a lot his work and he is one of the elements that made me watch Cinema on the perspective I see today... When we like something we tend to find role models, elements to explain why we love that thing? It can be sport, cinema, success in life...
When I see AL Pacino I know the huge influence that he was on me, on the way I see Cinema now. When I think about acting I always remember the tenacity of this men on bring the right persona to the character that he is playing. A ingenious Corleone to a calculist Corleone and then a tormented Corleone - [The many fases of Corleone] which I considered the best role of his career , a confused Sonny, a stick to his values Serpico, a confident/ambitious/impulsive Tony Montana, a hard men to deal but eloquent suffered Frank Slade...
If you look the variety of his works and start to analize which type persona that he needs to bring, you will realize that he was one of the best on doing that.
I'm with you, I hope that he does well "Irishman". If there's one project that I would like to him doing it was this.. Scorsese - directing, De Niro, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keytel in the cast. A huge budget and a huge freedom to Scorsese doing his style.
I mean, this is probably his best shot.

Exactly. I kind of agree that he's lost himself in disastrous projects recently but he was never lucky to begin with, when you know how Oscars work for someone's career, just imagine if Angels in America or You Don't Know Jack were movies instead of TV productions. He would have secured 2 nominations, maybe get a second win we don't know... but I'm sure it would have been a great boost to his career on movies. I remember I was always checking his last projects, he had 2 movies in 2014 and neither of them worked... so I gave up until I heard about The Irishman.
And even then, I was disappointed about the theater screening/ Oscar eligibility issue, if his first movie with Marty doesn't bring any attention, then I will lose my faith, unless he really steals the show with Tarantino.
I also agree his acting isn't exactly in the same vein of excellency as during hi peak in the 70s, but that's why he's my favorite actor, I like him despite the flaws.

Good poll!
I noticed a couple of typos in #21 (Prince):
Oscar - Best Best Music, Original Song Score, Purple Rain (1984)
Razzie - Worst Actor, Under the Cherry Moon (1986)
Razzie - Worst Worst Director, Under the Cherry Moon (1986)

Most Talented Dual Oscar-Razzie Winner?
The Golden Raspberry Awards, more popularly known as Razzies or Razzie Awards, annually honors cinematic under-achievements in a variety of film categories. While, the Academy Awards, more popularly known as the Oscars, annually honors film excellence in artistic and technical merit categories. The two awards lie at opposite ends of the recognition spectrum for worst and best movie performances in a given year.
