I'm not familiar with Harvey Pekar's work so this may not apply, but his biopic American Splendor is excellent.

Thanks Harvey Pekar's work is a underground comic book writer with a more adult focus. I initially decided to expand the scope beyond just children's authors to works that are being read in the 9-13 age group. I am re-thinking that decision which was intended to clarify the boundaries of the poll, it has created another even more massive grey are. As of now, I will likely split off the young adult segment or drop it altogether. These would be good suggestions for a poll with a young adult focus.

Goodbye, Christopher Robin would be my vote, but I also want to see Shadowlands.

Shadowlands is decent and worth a watch, obviously you would have an interest.  I kinda expected more with Debra Winger, Anthony Hopkins and Richard Attenborough being involved. Plus, a pre-Downton Abbey Julian Fellowe  and a pre-Games of Thrones Roger Ashton-Griffiths both have roles.

Hi Urb,

'Good idea. I haven't seen a lot of these but from the ones I have, 'Fnding Neverland,' although I like the idea behind Winnie the Pooh's creation more. I haven't seen that movie, though.

I'd suggest adding an apostrophe and "s" after "adult" in the title and intro, like you did for "children's." Otherwise, it precisely means that the author is a young adult, instead of what you actually mean.

Urb,

I noticed that you made the change that Ruby recommended. I've updated the title of this thread accordingly.

For the JK Rowling option I would suggest using the TV movie instead of the so far unmade script.

Also, Peter the Rabbitt should be Peter Rabbit.

I made the Peter Rabbit correction. But, I probably should have specified the poll is more geared to the release of these upcoming biopics, like A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019), When Lightning Strikes  and others. Hence, it is not ready for publication.
