Live Poll: Favorite Oscar-Nominated Best Picture Science Fiction Movie?

I like the Clockwork Orange for its exploration of a totalitarian society, which uses mind-control techniques in order to control and "reform" its criminals. It poses some interesting question on ethics, and on whether the ends justify the means.

"A New Hope" is not that great of a film when it comes to the story. But it does a decent job at introducing the main setting of the series and offers a then-groundbreaking aesthetic of a spacefaring civilization whose creations seem to have aged and decayed. 

E. T. is sugary-sweet and lacks real substance. I am not particularly interested in the other films on the list.
