Thanks, I fixed the hyperlink in #9.

I am still deciding which Robert Hardy Winston Churchill role is his best, or whether of the many times he has portrayed the historical figure, if multiple entries are warranted. I am still seeking on images of TV Churchill images, the old character system made this type of search easier.

revised question

FYI: John Houseman played Winston Churchill in Truman at Potsdam (1976 TV Movie). Unfortunately, there are no images of him as Churchill on IMDb. I also could not find any images of him elsewhere.

I had the pleasure meeting Mr. Houseman at a book signing and have a signed copy of his book Front & Center Hardcover – 1979 by John Houseman (Author).

Lucky you, I admire him greatly. Very talented and influential.

He seems to pop up in minor roles in films that go on to become some of my favorites: Three Days of the Condor (1975), Seven Days in May (1964) and The Paper Chase (1973). Beyond that, I found his career amazing as an early leader/founder of the Mercury theater troupe, as well as his work at Julliard, on Broadway and in Hollywood. Despite, his low profile he always seems at the heart of ground-breaking work (ie The War of the Worlds (radio drama)) or an influential part of other legends ground breaking careers. I love the advice he gave Robin Williams that he was wasting his talent at Julliard and he should strike out on his own and do stand-up comedy.

'Nice idea for a poll. I'd suggest adding a word or punctuation in the title:

Favorite Movie or TV about Winston S. Churchill

or

Winston S. Churchill: Favorite Movie or TV

or something like that. : )

Sara, the question asks for our favorite version of Churchill; not our favorite movie or TV show about him.

I concur, it is more about each actor's portrayal or version of Churchill

Yeah, I just looked at the poll and thought, "Ohhhh..." The syntax confused me but I think I was just tired. Now I get it and, before I saw your note or Jess's, I was coming back here to respond, "A- ha," lol.

Yeah, the focus was bit tricky to include the prominent big budget minor role Churchills, the leading actor Churchill biopics, as well as, the real deal.
