Note related Spy poll: Most memorable Spy Spoof?

Question is different and it has a better selection of older titles, I could limit the scope of this poll to just 21st century spy comedies, if necessary. Although the answer pools of both are already dissimilar with the suggested poll placing more emphasis on recent titles. Also, the scope in this suggestion extends beyond just parodies and includes spy movies that aren't but comedic nonetheless.

There's also this one: Best Spy Comedy

So I guess any way you can make it unique helps.

Thanks, good suggestions. I provisionally added them, as space is at a premium on this poll,  so I can't guarantee they end up on the final poll. But, I think both with multiple films indicate their popularity in the day and the trend of playing off the success of the debut of Bond as an international phenom. Also, both seem to be forerunners of the spy parody franchises we know today like Johnny English and Austin Powers which strengthens their case for inclusion. Thanks, I appreciate the feedback on the omission.

(all Derek Flint franchise films star James Coburn)
  1. Our Man Flint (1966)
  2. In Like Flint (1967)

(all Matt Helm franchise films star Dean Martin)

  1. The Silencers (1966)
  2. Murderers' Row (1966)
  3. The Ambushers (1967)
  4. The Wrecking Crew (1969)

I'm not sure about Bad Company. While it stars an actor renown for being a comedian, it has maybe only slightly more comic relief than Two Fast Too Furious. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I don't remember it being funnier than other movies in the same niche of the action genre. Looks like the PS list has an even thirty items, so I suppose having a few mild comedy or non-comedy movies is okay.

Thanks, its inclusion is based on IMDb's classification of the Chris Rock movie (Bad Company (2002) PG-13 | 116 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy)  within the Comedy genre as one of it secondary genres. It also makes the list of few other best Spy comedy lists, although pretty far down the list on both. That said it is not as funny as most the other listees, I have removed it, as I agree it doesn't really add to the quality of the list. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

PS: I removed Eddie Murphy's I Spy for the same reasoning.

Hm. Okay.

I did find I Spy to be funnier due to the satire, with Gary Cole in a supporting role kind of looking and behaving like Antonio Banderas.

Point taken. Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson I don't think could not be funny together if they tried. Although Anthony Hopkins can be funny, they certainly are a funnier pairing than Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock. I provisionally put I Spy back on the list.

love the idea of this poll...

you should add the matt helm films with dean martin...(the silencers/the wrecking crew/murderer's row/the ambushers...)...and the flint movies with james coburn (in like flint/our man flint)...

my suggestion...S*P*Y*S* (donald sutherland/elliott gould)

Thanks, I provisionally added the Derek Flint and Matt Helm spy franchises to the poll. Your feedback definitely helped their case. As for S*P*Y*S (1974) I am going to try to watch it, as a follow up paring of the actors to M*A*S*H, I got think the film is funny, but IMDb's 4.5 user rating concerns me. Nonetheless, it is an intriguing option as the poll lacks a single comedic spy film from the 1970's. Thanks for the suggestions and feedback.
