Irish Made means it has to be an Irish company that finances or produces the movie. Both 'The Quiet Man' and 'The Informer' are American productions filmed in a studio in Hollywood with some locations shoots in Ireland, I had the same thought on those titles along with The Crying Game being another former IMDb Top 250 title that might make the list. USA production, which makes it more Japanese than Irish. It cuts both ways as Irish companies get lead credit for the Room and In America; movies that were filmed outside of Ireland, but are considered Irish made.

I am a huge John Ford fan, I agree he was amazing and could direct anything well, not just Westerns. I am not as familiar with Alan Parker. But I am a fan of several of his movies, including Mississippi Burning, Pink Floyd: The Wall, Angela's Ashes, The Life of David Gale, and Evita
