In honor of President's Day, these TV series give viewers a look at the inner workings and sometime comical goings-on of the White House and upper echelons of American government.
Which TV series about U.S. presidents, cabinet members, staff and their families gives the most entertaining look behind the curtain?

I agree with rocky. “The West Wing”. I think “The West Wing”, “Veep”, “Scandal”, “Madam Secretary”, “House of Cards”, “24” ,and “Designated Survivor” are going to be the top choices on this one. The most of the rest I never heard of.
Should you ever want to lower your sites a bit to include congressmen, governors, and mayors, may I suggest:
“Benson” (Governor)
“The Farmer’s Daughter” (Congressman - Senator)
“Spin City” (Mayor)
“Parks and Recreation” ( Mayor)
“Grampa Goes To Washington” (Congressman - Senator)
“Grampa Goes To Washington” was a one season show that I don’t expect to get many votes for this poll. I just remember it because of how Jack Albertson played his part which was so down to earth and different from his previous part as Ed Brown on “Chico And The Man”.
“A crusty down-to-earth professor with no previous political experience is elected to the U.S. Senate.”
If want to include movies:
“The American President”
“The Pelican Brief”
“Dave”

'Nice, whimsical poll.
Since the holiday now celebrates multiple presidents, the punctuation is Presidents' (with the apostrophe after the s).
I'm embarrassed to say that I still have never seen House of Cards; my vote would go to The West Wing.

I miss the West Wing a lot, House of Cards is a worthy replacement in a different way.
Thanks, Presidents' Day would make sense to me, but I think it depends on where you live. Regardless, I have made the change, as I agree.
The day is a state holiday in most states, with official names including Washington's Birthday, Presidents' Day, President's Day, and Washington's and Lincoln's Birthday. Depending upon the specific law, the state holiday might officially celebrate Washington alone, Washington and Abraham Lincoln (whose birthday is February 12), or some other combination of U.S. presidents (such as Washington and the third president Thomas Jefferson, who was born in April).

24 is my favorite show, so my vote goes to 24, but I love Designated Survivor too!

West Wing....24 is about Jack Bauer trying to stop terrorists. If you really want to think about it a lot of those really don't belong on the list.
