I was a scout XD.

I never received the top badge of the scouts (cubs), I was supposed to receive it, but I was out of stock when the dude wanted to order them. The year after, I left scouts, but I bought the new badge recently (nostalgia):

cinephile, What does the XD stand for in scout XD?

I suspect the Comic Book merit badge is the one badge you would have liked to have earned, but didn't.

Great suggestion!

I didn't completely spell out that real-life scouting organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Venturers, Girl Guides, Campfire Kids, Navigators, Air Scouts, Sea Scouts, and others are excluded from consideration. I placed the fictional term to focus on scouts in the title and question. Plus, I listed the fictional organizations each troop is associated with in the answer options. I can see how even real-life scouting organizations, can have fictional troops, but I didn't want to make the poll premise overly complicated.

I haven't seen the movie, but based on reference to "welp scouts" or cub scouts and the Scouts en Gidsen Vlaanderen, the Flemish Boy Scouts organization's condemnation of the "all ages" rating the horror film received, I think it is their junior scouts that are being depicted in the film.

One of the reasons there seems to be more fictional scouting organizations depicted than real-life scouting organization is the creative license it affords the writer.  Likewise, the producer's neither have to seek permission to use the trademark nor to seek approval for the script nor do they have to deal with any backlash once the film debuts. Some films, like Patton Oswalt's indie film Nature Calls skillfully blur the line between whether they are depicting the real-deal or some fake scouting troop.

P.S. I shortened the introduction, so the sentence "In celebration of scouting and its impact on shaping global youth, a set of tribute polls featuring fictional scouting organizations in movies, television series and other media." stands out more.

May I suggest one small edit to the movie poll intro? (It could be applied to the others, too.)

Worldwide, scouts are the largest youth movement in the world with 40 million current members from 223 countries. In celebration of scouting and its impact on shaping global youth, this poll is one of a set of tribute polls featuring fictional scouting organizations in movies, television series and other media.
