Wall Street Off-Site Live Show Office Rager??? I never had any clue/feeling that that was an office party... :/

FYC:
Mary's WJM-TV Farewell Party - Mary Tyler Moore Show
WNYX's Halloween Party the staff isn't invited to because they are "too cool for school" - NewsRadio
Josh and Mindy's disastrous Christmas Party - The Mindy Project
The New Year's Eve party that ends with Little Bill's breakdown - Boogie Nights

That's odd? What kind of party did you think it was? I think all the signs to the type of party it is are there in the scene? Granted, whether it is sanctioned office party or just a group of fellas from the firm going out after work isn't fully spelled out? It is exactly the same type of party you see in every other movie about Wall Street brokerage trading firms.

Granted, it is pretty extreme, but not far from 'Wolf of Wall Street' if it had chosen to be an NC-17 film. I looked into it  awhile back and found a reviewer calling the party goers Wall Streeters. Plus, an interview with Jennifer Connelly commenting about the scene and saying how the extras were unprofessional and did not make it any easier to do the scene. She specifically referenced them as playing Wall Streeters.

I hardly think Wolf is typical of Wall Street parties in general but if Connelly said they were Wall Streeters then I believe it.

I would agree it is not a typical or an everyday occurrence. However, I don't think it is unrealistic or out-of-character for the extreme behavior of some people during the period or even today. Hubert Selby, Jr. and Darren Aronofsky both were lauded for their realistic and grim portrait of the dark side of drug abuse in NYC during the 70's.

Yes, I am interested but had overlooked them.

I don't want to have too many TV episodes and want the party to be as extreme as possible. Plus, ideally I would like to have a visual image that shows the outrageousness..

I added the Boggie Night and I am still looking for an ideal image.

The Mary Tyler Moore episode, I am unsure if it is The Last Show, the Party Is Such Sweet Sorrow  or another episode. Plus, what was outrageous about it?

The NewsRadio Halloween episode. What was outrageous about it? I couldn't find it in the reviews or images online other than Dave Foley in drag.

The Mindy Project's Josh and Mindy's Christmas Party seems like a good candidate; was Ellie Kemper the other woman and what kind of fight did they have?

'Lots of good choices here. The scene in Boogie Nights is the saddest but there are a lot of funny ones and I haven't decided which one is my favorite. I love the Office's parties.

Oh, speaking of the Office, I noticed a little typo in #19:

Andy's Holiday Wish Granting Dunder-Mifflin Christmas Party

(It was missing the 's.)

Whew...seven months! Congrats. Eventually it happens. :)

My vote is for Mad Men. That was an amazing shocker. I think I'll go watch it again on YouTube.
