Nope. Shape of Water should win because it is the most original story AND it's the best executed. And that's the entire point of giving artistic awards like an Oscar. 3 billboards is based on something real, so is Dunkirk, I, Tonya, Ladybird, Darkest Hour, the Post. You pretty much might as well just open a newspaper and read it or talk to the people rather than watch those movies.

The more a movie is based on real events the less creative went into making it.There's almost no point making it. Artistic awards are meant to reward art, not real life. That's what things like medals are for.

Seen all nine films already.  Call Me by Your Name (2017) was the weakest of the lot and I rated it an 8/10.
