Yay for writers and yay for a poll about their awards. : ) My vote would probably got to Lady Bird but I haven't seen two of the films yet.

It appears to be called the Writers Guild Awards with no apostrophe after Writer.

My suggested edit wasn't about the word "writers." There should be an apostrophe after Awards for the possessive case. "...Awards' nominee..."

The Grammar Check website is not reliable. (The "free check" is especially dubious: for example, I typed in "He sang good," and it responded that no errors were found.) Your intro is great, and it's been fine, except "Awards" needs to be followed by an apostrophe. Whether it is singular or plural isn't relevant: "nominee," whether preceded by "category" or not, belongs to "Awards," thus the apostrophe after "Awards."  :)

Thanks, for the insight, I will try to mix in some common sense when using it in the future. It reminds me of the study that found people trusted a calculator more than themselves, even when doing basic addition, when the calculator is programmed to give bad results.

DC,
How did you get all those statistics?
That is an extremely broad question. I'm not certain how to answer. You've seen similar reports before. Why are you asking now?

Dan,

I know how you get those statistics. I was surprised to see Benu posting those.
