I'm producing an anthology feature made up of existing shorts all directed by women. Most of these shorts have their own IMDb listings. So, do I simply create a new title (the feature) and then add several cast members, several directors, several DPs, etc? I've never done something like this, but I looked at other anthology listings and they seem to be broken up into "segments" -- how do I do that? Thanks.

Hi, Staci Wilson.
Perhaps, the official guide would be a good start point:
https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/movie-connections/GNUNL9W2FTZDGF4Y?ref_=helpsrall#
and then you could put the questions more specific based on examples.
Hope this helps

Hi Staci,
It would depend on whether there was any original content existing in the anthology that hasn't already been released and already has an existing title page. If there is no original content involved in the anthology then unfortunately this title wouldn't be eligible for its own listing on IMDb.
If there is original content in the anthology then only those credits relating to the original content would be eligible, all credits relating to existing titles shouldn't be included on the anthology title, to avoid duplicating the work on the associated name pages. You should instead add a movie connection linking to the existing title.
I hope this helps explain the policy.
Thanks,
Will

Yes, there's original content: all-new scripted wraparounds with a host (like The Cryptkeeper or Elvira), plus an all-new short. The rest of the shorts do have their own IMdb pages.
My friends at Dread Central / Epic did something similar -- using existing shorts (already released), added original wraparounds, and packaged it as a new feature for streaming and home video. It looks to me like there are no Movie Connections on this? Unless I'm reading it wrong (I've never listed anything like this before on IMDb) --- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3717324/reference
Will, would you please show me an IMDb page for a film or films that has some original content and Movie Connections? I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly when I enter the title.
Thanks.

Hi Staci,
Here is the title page for The Oscar Nominated Short Films 2018: Animation. That lists the movie connections format that you would need to add for the existing title.
Other than that you would just need to add the credits for the new sections to the title page.
For cast, this would be in the following format -
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Will

- Parentheses should only be used to define segments a character appears in (for productions with multiple segments): i.e. Friendly John (segment "Star Struck").
I hope this helps.
