queries on title appearance and writing credit

I just watched a movie on TCM called Hotel Berlin (tt0037791 in IMDb).
The opening title card appears as "Vicki Baum's Hotel Berlin". Vicki Baum's name does not appear elsewhere in the credits, but as implied by that opening title card (which is in the form of a book jacket cover) and in further digging, Vicki Baum is the author of the source material novel.

Stemming from this information, I have two questions:
  1. Should the official display title on IMDb be changed to "Vicki Baum's Hotel Berlin" or should it be added as an alternative title?
  2. How if any way should Vicki Baum be credited as a writer on the IMDb page? Right now, she is listed under the Writers' section as "novel".

1. From the IMDb Help Center Page:
Alternate titles (AKAs): Attribute definitions/2. 'Length' variants

Complete title: The complete version of the primary title (or a corresponding short(er) alternate title). Since the primary title is supposed to be the complete title it is only used for special cases such as overlong primary titles (e.g. "John Carpenter's Halloween").
FYI: Halloween's AKAs

In my opinion, I would submit an alternate title update [Vicki Baum's Hotel Berlin (1945)] with the attribute (complete title). Unfortunately, the attribute "opening credits title" is not listed as a choice.

2. Considering her name is mentioned in the film's opening title page, Vicki Baum's writing credit could be revised this way:

Vicki Baum (novel: Hotel Berlin '43). According to at least a few sources, the book title was Hotel Berlin '43.

The writing credit could also be left as is.

I hope this answers your questions.
