Question about cast ordering (columns vs. rows)

I was watching an episode of Modern Family (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt7569884/) and I noticed when I was looking at the cast that the co-stars (listed at the end of the episode) were listed by row instead of columns. I put in a correction to fix this so that it is like every other show I've watched (and even most episodes of Modern Family) so that it was read columns then row instead of rows then columns.

The update is: 171129-201849-300000

It seems to have been rejected. Here is the cast list:



I think the order for this screen should be Teri Gamble, Joseph Callari, Lesley Braun and Xavier Shelton. The current order is Teri Gamble, Lesley Bruan, Joseph Callari and Xavier Shelton. I know it seems pretty minor but just curious if I'm correct or not.

Hi Adrian,

As stated on the site as below, when credits are listed in more than one column, the order can depend on certain factors.

If the list scrolls up the screen (rather than appearing as standalone cards), then the order goes across the rows.
If there is an obvious order, such as alphabetic, appearance, or importance, then follow that.
If there is no obvious order, then read across the rows before reading down the columns, the same as with scrolling credits.

In this case it appears that there is not an obvious order and so the order should read Teri Gamble, Lesley Braun, Joseph Callari and Xavier Shelton.

Hi Meredith,

I had looked for this earlier and didn't find it. This means that virtually every TV episode I've ever seen that uses columns is wrongly credited as it is always columns then rows.
