-Dear Makers-of-IMDB-Trivia-Game-for-iPhones,

I've been playing the imdb trivia game on my iPhone. It's a really fun game. I've found an error in a trivia answer regarding the plot of the movie "Inception". I am paraphrasing, but the question asks, what is Cobb's totem? And the "correct answer" is: Brass Top. I don't believe this is correct.

I think that the Brass Top was the totem of Cobb's dead wife, Mal. I think Cobb hid the top from Mal in limbo (his first inception) and acquired it from her personal effects in the real world after her suicide. From that point on, he brought her top with him into the dream worlds, but not to serve as his totem. It was a symbol of Cobb's unwillingness to let go of Mal in the real world (and his need to keep bringing HER into the dream world).

I think that Cobb's totem was his wedding band. Let me know what you think and if the question can be changed/clarified. Regardless, I love your website and the game. Thanks!

-kisses, kj.

When the concept of totems are introduced, Cobb is shown using his top. At several points during the film he is shown using the top to test whether he's in a dream or not. Regardless of how he got the top or how he feels about it, that is what he uses as his totem.
