Please tell me why white actors are listed first on the “Pose” page when they play MINOR ROLES!

Why are you blaming IMDb? They don’t add the names to the website, the producers of the show add them. And the names are usually listed by highest billing so if you want to blame anyone, blame the show itself or the racial divide in the entertainment industry.

I do not know anything about this program and the "racial divide in the entertainment industry", but before jumping to agressive conclusions, I would first check the behavior of the system, and of course, try to edit the entries, since IMDb is a collaborative website.

You can change the order of the actors listed on the page by pressing “Edit” and assigning an order to the names but I’m personally not sure what the order should be. You can change it if you like but to me it doesn’t sound like IMDb is racist, it sounds like whoever added the cast might be responsible (if their intentions were prejudice (and whoever that person may be)).

We have confirmed the order of the credits on episode 1.1 (the only one aired so far) on https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7600128/fullcredits match exactly the order on the show as can be viewed at http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/pose.

Furthermore, FX Network list the show cast at http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/pose/cast-crew (but it is what is listed on-screen in the episodes which count anyway).

The episode ordering is in-line with the IMDb cast order listings policy as explained on https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/discover-watch/why-aren-t-the-stars-of-a-film-credited-first/G5SP...

The cast list shown on the main TV-series page at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7562112/ is an automatically generated summary of the episode casts attached to the individual episodes, again per IMDb policy and applied to all TV-series with episodes.  The listing is first by number of episodes in which the cast member has been credited in IMDb, so in this case, people due to appear in all eight episodes of "Pose" are listed first.  Within cast members appearing in the same number of episodes, we further sort by position in the credit list of the episodes (see above).   If, as the show airs, the cast ordering changes then this will start to be reflected in the order on https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7562112/ since it is generated from the individual episodes.

We hope this explains IMDb's policy here (which is to reflect the on-screen credits as closely as possible). Our general policy on data accuracy is contained at https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/i-tried-to-delete-data-but-it-st... and also please see https://contribute.imdb.com/charter
