Please, add opportunity to rate movies with .5 (example 7.5) I don't want to rate movie by 7 because it's better then 7, but not as good as 8 star movie. Hope you see my point.

In my opinion, invalidating ten years of ratings history is not worth it and having twenty options is too many for most people.
It's often suggested and gets noted that it is not planned.

It seems to me that most times I see a 'half-star' rating that uses the .5 to effectively double the ratings, it is a 5-star system.
I doubt if most people would truly be able to effectively differentiate between the 20 levels that adding the .5 would give on IMDb. Given the downsides mentioned above, it seems that that addition would add a lot of problems with no real benefit.
