Now I am sure this has been discussed before, but I could not find a fitting topic here on getsatisfaction.
I am talking about the early 60s movie (with the famous swimming pool scene) that is described today as Marilyn Monroe's final movie, even if it was never completed. Around 37 minutes of footage exist today and these were shown in its entirety at the end of the 2001 documentary "Marylin Monroe: the Final Days"
The 1962 movie was not completed after firing Monroe, rehiring her (because Dean Martin would have quit otherwise) when Monroe died weeks before they planned on continuing shooting with a different director. It exists on imdb under the above link without an option to rate or review. There are 40 reviews listed, however, the last being from December 2011. So would it not be the appropriate way to either remove all old reviews (plus 6 external reviews) and go full-blank for reviews on this title or otherwise allow new reviews? Is there any concrete imdb guideline when it comes to partially existing movies?
One example would be Metropolis, which exists almost in full now, but there's still two scenes missing that were too damaged to restore. Of course, the difference is that these scenes were shot, but are considered lost, while for "Something's Got to Give", all that was shot is out there for us to watch.
Parallels with:
Number 13 (1922), Hitchcock
I, Claudius (1937), von Sternberg
