I just watched the latest episode of Murphy Brown (in the eastern time zone) and there was already an average rating of 1.0.  These people are clearly not watching it.  I've seen it before on other shows where it was reasonably obvious that another 'top 1000 rater' (as I am) just gave a 1 or 2 to every single episode.  Why would anyone watch a TV show that they'd consistently rate 1 or 2 and how could anyone objectively determine that every episode of every season of a show deserved the same rating?  It's ridiculous.  I hope you find a way of dismissing rating votes that are political or otherwise irrelevant.

Hi Mort Potter -

In addition to the Help page Jeorj referenced above, please rest assured that our voting system already detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating, as demonstrated by the difference between the weighted average and the arithmetic mean on the vast majority of titles in the database.

Our voting system is continually improved in this respect so you can rest assured that abuse is always automatically detected and thwarted.
