IMDB needs to have a quick and easy way to report members who are verbally abusive or bullies.
Member "Dan815" sends message sto anyone who submits a review he disagrees with --- and goes off making personal attacks against their character.  (He called me a ":Clueless Troll;" because he did not like my reviewe of the Supergirl program...)This is NOT acceptable behavior, and until there is a quick way to report these social malcontents, this type of behavior is going to contiue!   And yes, I did see that there is a "reply" button but in order to SEND replies, IMDB requires members to be "Verified" which COSTS MONEY.

Actually, no, it doesn't.

IMDb requires an account to be verified before a User may post on the Message Boards or send Private Messages. This can be done via a cell phone or credit card. With the phone option, IMDb sends a text with a PIN that must be entered on the verification screen, For the credit card, IMDb with ask that $1 be held (not actually charged). Once the company confirms the hold, IMDb knows the card data is correct, and releases the hold. The card is never actually charged.

So you can be verified without actually paying anything.

However, Reply may not be the best option. I don't have any private messages at the moment, so I can't see the options available. However, I expect that there are options to Report and to Ignore. If you feel the message is contrary to IMDb's Terms and Conditions, you can report him. Only do this once. After that, or instead, you should be able to put that user on Ignore, which means you will no longer see his messages. Once he realizes this he will stop posting.

I don't know if there's an option to report a private message.

But one way to add any user to the "ignore" list is to simply
go to the user's profile page and click the "Ignore User" link
(in the "Quick Links" sidebar on the right).
