I have been in the Graphic Arts/Advertising business for 30+ years. There have been NUMEROUS STUDIES in Graphic and Advertising Design PROVING that copy that is reversed out of a dark background is EXTREMELY difficult for the majority of users to read. Last week (July 1, 2016) the site design was changed to a black or dark gray background with reversed-out white type. It is, as the studies noted above determined, MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO READ than the previous design of a white background with black type.

☆☆☆ PLEASE CHANGE THIS SITE BACK TO THE PREVIOUS "BLACK TYPE ON WHITE BACKGROUND" ASAP!!!
Thank you, Patricia Goff

Sorry but we did not change the site background last week (or make any other significant design changes).  Have you tried looking on a different browser, different machine or different location. Which pages look different to you? Please can you upload screen-grabs if changing browsers does not fix the problem.

This is the home page today:

This is a title page @ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3553976/ which as of a few months ago does have a darker background at the top but this is the only recent design change and your post implies that the entire site has changed:

We assume that this was a local settings or browser issue which has now been fixed?
