Sorry about that.  Your account looks in good order.  Are you still seeing the same problem?  If so, please share the URL of the title page you are trying to review and the exact error message you are seeing after trying to submit the review.

Please could you try logging out via http://www.imdb.com/register/logout and then login again and please login via http://www.imdb.com/register/login and please login with your IMDb password rather than using Facebook.

Sorry to bother you Colonel Needham, but I obviously messed-up when I joined this aspect of IMDB, because I didn't want my mailbox to be overwhelmed with literally hundreds of unrelated messages per day ?

I thought that I was joining the professional version of the website, as opposed to a never-ending discussion group.

That's it, in a nut-shell, but now I can't get out of it.

Could you tell this nearly 77-year-old actor, how to stop these mails from come, because all I want to belong to is the professional arm of the website, and nothing more.

Thanks, in anticipation of your kindness.

It doesn't recognise my Facebook password, nor does it recognise my IMDB password, Colonel, but - notwithstanding - it is burdening me with hundreds of unwanted messages every single day, and jamming-up my mailbox and my cell-phone, and thereby hindering me in my work.

If you can help here, I would greatly appreciate it; otherwise I will have to buy a new computer and another cell-phone, and chuck the others in the trash-can or send them to IMDB for use in their offices as paper-weights.

Best.   Gerry George.

Is the email flood from IMDb or is it from GetSatisfaction?

If it is from GetSatisfaction you need to edit your profile here. To do that, make sure you are logged in here, then hover over the down arrow beside your name in the black banner at that top of the page and click on Profile.

Click on the Edit Profile button in the left column.

Click on Email & Notifications.

T.here are 2 sets of options you need to look at; the first general, for all sections of GetSatisfaction you use, and one just for the IMDb subsection.

The general one is right under the maintain emails options. There are 4 options, all of which refer specifically to threads you have posted in, or clicked 'follow' on.

You should leave the first option, Send me email at my primary email address about new replies on topics I have posted, replied to, or followed,  checked as this informs you when you get replies. If you uncheck this one, you will need to return to manually check for replies and are likely to miss some.

I don't believe the second option has any affect in IMDb as it is not set up with 'products'.

The last two options may be checked on not, according to your tastes, they will notify you if somebody 'likes' your post and if somebody has clicked 'me too'. Personally, I like to know this, but you probably will want to uncheck them.

Be sure to click Save Emails & Notifications once you have made these changes.

Further down, under Community Notifications you will see the IMDb.com section. This is the section that causes the worst flooding. You probably want to make sure both the options here are unchecked. You do not want to see every thread - or worse every reply to every thread - on this site.

If these options were checked and you unchecked them, don't forget to click Save  Company Notifications or the changes will be lost.
