Re: IMDb update receipt #190210-200502-73800 for https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9067584/?ref_=rvi_tt

I wish to change the release date that appears in parentheses next to the title.  That date (2016) reflects an initial festival screening and is not the official release date which is 2019; that is when the film will be distributed.  I do not want the film to be backdated, as 2016 implies that the film has been publicly available since then when it hasn't been.  I'm sure you understand my reasoning.

I see where my request for the change was made, but its buried in a hidden secondary page that nobody will see.

Please advise. Thanks.

Joe,

As a lot of discussion topics here will testify, the year at the end of a title on IMDb is not the official release date but the date of first public showing. This is IMDb (sound) policy and they will not make any exception.
