Removing Credits Doesn't Work

I've put in a request to have an entire season of Vampire Diaries removed from my credits list over 4 times over as many years.  I never worked on the Vampire Diaries and think a producer listed me incorrectly -- I worked for the same company but never on this show.  It doesn't represent my abilities, and I'd love to have it removed.

Did the producer list it incorrectly in the on screen credits or when submitting it to IMDb? Do you have access to a screen capture of what appears in the credits? How to fix it depends on what's on screen, which is what IMDb documents.

Correcting it to the right name/person would be the way to fix it, not outright deletion, in most cases. If you were, indeed, credited on screen but did not do the work, it can be noted that way with an attribute for "credit only" to show it appeared but the work was not done. That way it won't be continually added back in any time anyone audits the page and sees your name in the credits.

TV shows like Vampire Diaries almost never provide on-screen credits for VFX Artists who worked on the show.  I can certainly try to find out whether that's the case here, but it's unlikely.
