Removing credits

Hi,

I've repeatedly asked that two credits be removed from my page (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6292664/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1), namely the 'writer' and 'director' credits for 'The Final Sneeze' but as of yet nothing has been done.

The film in question was made up and improvised on the spot, and therefore does not strictly have a director nor writer. This is becoming an issue as it is congesting my page and distracting emphasis away from my editorial credits.

If you could remove these credits I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks,

Dane

What does the credit roll of the film reflect?  Does it show you as writer and director?  If yes, then the credits will remain.  If no, then you should provide a screen capture of the credits to substantiate your submission.

If yes, then the only way you could have these removed is to have the entire film removed from IMDb and the only way to do that is to offer proof that the film does not meet the criteria for listing.

The  Eligibility Rules can be checked for the criteria.

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay - only just read your reply!

The credits do not list neither a director nor writer, as you'll see in the film itself (credits are at 5:36)

Have also attached screen captures below.

Do let me know should you need anything else.

Many thanks,

Dane

Hi there,

Is it possible to get the previously mentioned credits removed? Should I create a new request?

Many thanks,

Dane

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Removing credits.

Hi,

I asked that two credits be removed from my page some time ago (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6292664/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1), namely the 'writer' and 'director' credits for 'The Final Sneeze'.

The film was improvised and therefore has no director or writer attached, as you'll see in the film itself (credits are at 5:36):

.. and in the screengrabs below.

I already posted about this elsewhere (https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/removing-credits?utm_source=notification&utm_medium=emai...), but received no follow up after I provided the necessary 'evidence', hence the repeated request.

Previous update receipt is #150505-114853-354000‏.

If you could remove these credits I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks,

Dane

Hi Dane -

Thanks for posting these screen grabs.  To clarify, instead of requesting the deletion of these credits, if you were not credited on-screen you should instead submit credit corrections, including the "uncredited" attribute, this will indicate that you rworked on the title but your name was not credited on-screen for your roles.

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't credited on-screen because I didn't direct nor write the title, hence why I believe the credits on my page are misleading and should not be there. I did work on the title but only in an acting and editing capacity (see credit screengrabs / credits in link to the film itself).

I hope this explains it a little better!

Many thanks,

Dane

Mr. Cross:

Our editors have been made aware of your concerns have reviewed the above information and past information/credits/statement submitted for this title, and they will update the listing to reflect the fact that no director/writer is billed on-screen.

Has IMDb any evidence to the contrary?
Why are the Director and Writer credits still listed?

"Uncredited" would make sense if the OP worked as an uncredited director and writer.

If the OP did not write or direct, should those credits be removed?

(I'll admit that I'm often confused about some of IMDb's rules and practices.)
