Earlier this year, the watchlist feature updated so that you can no longer access and edit it as you would any other list (by dragging the titles around). Now, for some reason, edit takes you to an equivalent of the "list" view on any other list. This has killed the feature for me.

Without being able to easily reorder titles and, therefore, keep track of my priority watchlist titles at one end of the list, the whole thing is basically redundant for me.
I've tried re-ordering using the format now provided, which in theory, should be viable (even though it's far less user-friendly to have to count up each number and type them in), but every time I click "save reordered list", it's a complete shot in the dark as to where the titles are placed. Sometimes they go in the right place, sometimes they jump several numbers either side of the one I wanted, sometimes they don't move at all. It's infuriating, frankly and, like I say, it's essentially rendered the watchlist function useless for me.

I could understand if this was some sort of system overhaul, but all of the other lists still function in the same way so what's going on with this? Is there something I'm missing? Is there any chance of bringing the old drag and drop system back?

This updated happened months ago, but I've held off on complaining in the hope that the problems I'm dealing with were just bugs that would be ironed out. That hasn't happened.

Thanks!

Hi Cyber_turnip,

Our team always attempts to make changes that we hope will improve user experience on the site. We appreciate the feedback you have given regarding the most recent watchlist changes, in addition, I have made note of this feedback.

On to the main topic of reordering your watchlist more easily, have you attempted to use this link: http://www.imdb.com/list/edit?list_id=watchlist ? this should allow you to drag and drop, as well as number to order and make notes on titles on your watchlist.

Hopefully this provides a similar experience to what you're use to, I recommend bookmarking that link if you intend to make a lot of order changes in the future.

Best,
Kurt

This link has stopped working after the latest reincarnation of the watchlist, which BTW was totally unnecessary and useless.

Are there any new link that will get me to the same function as described above?
