A user made a vulgar post in a thread which I reported over a day ago and nothing has been done. How long does it usually take? In the past it seemed faster. Thanks.

If you click the report link again, do you get a "we've received enough reports" message?

Otherwise the quick and lazy answer is, somewhere between now and a couple weeks. Remember, there are millions of boards and millions of users. Add to that, the system is partly automated, partly staff moderated.

Yes that is what happens. As long as it will eventually be removed, I'm happy with that.

I'm not trying to take action against the poster, I figure that won't do any good anyway. I just want my name removed. He 'quoted' me as saying some terrible things i never said in a racism thread.

Oh, that sucks. Yeah, if you see that message, it's in line to be reviewed. It might not be addressed until Monday, though. I think it's a skeleton crew through weekends.

What I tell myself is usually that a) I don't care what some dufuss on the Internet says about me. b) Most people will see it as trolling and just think the person is one of those dufusses on the Internet.

Don't lose sleep over the duffuss and consider adding him to your ignore list and paying him no attention.

Good luck.
