After requesting to merge two pages of the same person into one page, I saw later that there now exists one page for the person, but the credits have not been merged successfully. This is regarding http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3964312/. The reference number of the request is 140516-233810-568000. How can we get back the other credits that were on his second page and have the merge be done successfully?

It can take up to 2 weeks for edits to process fully.  When there is a "merge" of names, credits will usually appear/disappear as the pages are being updated and rebuilt.  So, you might wait another day or two and see if it still doesn't look complete.

I've been waiting on photos for a few people to upload and they have yet to appear and the 2-14 day time frame that was given has passed. I believe the link provided for photos is fine - I provided a dropbox link that has access to all the photos and has names of the relevant actors/actresses for each photo.

Update reference numbers below:
140521-205840-885000
140521-210134-736000
140521-210246-323000
140521-210354-663000
140521-210637-235000
140521-210714-405000
140521-210820-124000
140521-210926-678000

Can anyone confirm that these update requests do meet the requirements and provide an ETA for when these updates can be made?

Please also note, that a few weeks prior to these updates being made, other photo change requests were made that haven't been updated. Those are no longer valid and the update requests above are the most up-to-date ones. I'd like to ensure that when changes are made, they aren't old photos because we have since changed them (as seen through the above request #s).

Hey bluemanSF, think you can share your thoughts on this problem? I can't tell if it's an issue with the submitted photos or just imdb being incredibly slow. Would it be faster to submit the same updates multiple times in the chances that some of them might actually be accepted and put through? Any sort of help/insight would be appreciated:

No, I'd wait for staff to take a look based on your submission ID numbers over re-submitting over and over hoping for a better result.  That can result in slowing the process further.  I wish I could help more but it's probably just something staff will  have to look at to see what's going on.  Sorry I don't have more! But it's obvious something is holding those up.  I has taken way, way too long.

Good luck.

Hi Rachel -

Looking at the submissions, I see that they were processed and the Photo URLs are displayed for the individuals under the 'External Sites' section on their pages, for example, please see here:

Thanks Michelle.

Is there any way to process the actual images themselves and not just have the URLs? I had followed the instructions to upload photos featured on that particular link so that they could be added to the photos section, but it ended up being processed just as a link. That wasn't the original update I had intended. When I go to Media | Photos it says No Photos. Update this page. That was the update that I had intended. Is it possible that the update was processed but switched up and updated as an external link instead?

I understand that official headshots and default photos are something that can only be done through the Resume option of an individual's imdbpro account but I thought, after going through the steps, that this particular update was to add general photos.

If I am misunderstanding something or if changes have been made within imdb wiht regards to how photos are handled please let me know.

I believe you are misunderstanding, but I don't believe it is your fault. it is not possible for a contributor to add a photo to a name page except through Resume (which is restricted to the person named in the page or their authorized representative).

This is explained in I own a photo or poster that you don't have, can I send it to you? which states in part :
Please note that we can only take photos that are self-submitted or that are from someone legally affiliated with the person or production for which the photos are being submitted. We cannot and will not take photos from fans.
The No photos.  Update this page » item is misleading. It really just echos the Edit Page button at the bottom of the page and refers to the whole Name page, not just the Photos sub-page.

I consider it yet another blunder in the new Pro version, which I consider a total abortion. Oddly enough they put the link on the Photos sub-page which Contributors cannot modify, but leave it out of, for example, the Clients sub-page, for which Contributors can request changes. The tag there just shows No clients listed  with no link text.

Okay thank you that actually clears up a lot! I am, however, submitting photos for clients via the pro account of their manager. Wouldn't that count as a legal affiliation? She's not just a contributor and definitely not some fan: she is their manager. If it helps, she's also listed as the manager for those respective clients in the contact section of their pages. If, given this legal affiliation, those photos can be submitted and accepted how can we go about that process?
Thank you all so much!

Yes, that would almost certainly count as  an "authorized representative".

However, the only way to put photos into a Name Page's Gallery is via a Resume Subscription. Each Pro Account may maintain one and only one Resume subscription, and each Resume subscription may only be maintained by a single Pro Account. Therefore, while you could "claim" one page with that account, you would need to create - and pay for - a separate account for each of the other people.

Also, Resume is a subscription service, and if the Pro Account that is linked to it is cancelled or allowed to lapse any photos uploaded (and the separate Resume page, if created) will disappear from the displayed pages.

Added in Edit: If you are anxious to get photos added, it might be preferable to have each client create a Pro Account  and give you the password so that you can upload the photos.
